Mindfulness for the 11-plus process

Mindfulness is a good practice to introduce to children taking their 11-plus entrance exams. The period leading up to the 11-plus exams can be a  worrying  and anxious time for  many. Everything you can do to alleviate this and help them deal with their new learning regime, and the oncoming entrance exam tests, will help.

Mindfulness can help cope with

  • 11-plus stress in children
  • being in unfamiliar settings (mock exam and entrance exam halls)
  • managing their studies on top of school homework and extra-curricular activities
  • attending school interviews

Teaching mindfulness has also been shown to improve a child’s ability to focus and to improve academic performance.
