11-plus mocks – month-by-month guide

11-plus mocks – a month by month plan

This is A SUGGESTED PLAN to help you navigate the next 6 months or so, leading up to your child’s 11-plus exams. We hope you find it helpful.

  • Early April – Start with the free mocks on Succeed11Plus . Do not rush through them. Take each mock on a separate day so that it gives you and your child time to work through the answers and for your child to learn from their mistakes.
  • Sunday 21st April  – take the in-person  Succeed mock (Ashmole School – London N14). This will help your child understand the timings for their mocks and act as an indication of where they most need help in the coming months.
  • May – start working through the Succeed online mocks – Take bundle one.  Again, take each mock on a separate day so that it gives you time to work through the answers and for your child to learn from their mistakes.
  • 19th May – take the in-person Succeed mock (Ashmole School). You should aim for an improvement from the last mock result as your child becomes more accustomed to exam settings and timings.
  • June – take bundle two of the online mocks. Always taking each mock on a separate day.
  • July take bundle three of the online mocks.
  • 14th July – take the in-person  Succeed mock (Ashmole School). Your child should now be confident with the exam process.
  • Monday 15th July to Friday 19th July enrol your child onto WEEK ONE revision course at Ashmole School N14 (provided your child is on school holidays that week).
  • Monday 29th July to Friday 2nd August enrol your child onto WEEK TWO revision course at Ashmole School N14 (this is different from week one)
  • August-September  take bundle four and five of the online mocks.
  • 18th August – take the in-person Succeed mock (Ashmole School). This mock should be their last one before their exams so that they have time to look back at their errors and  revise and learn from them.

With regards to the in-person mock dates, you choose two papers per mock. For example, in April you might like to choose VR and English, and in May Standard format Maths and English.

Remember that not only do Succeed mark your English Creative writing piece but we also provide a suggested plan so that your child can attempt that piece of writing again at home. Our exams are very close to the format and difficulty of the local schools your child will be sitting.

We believe the site answers all your questions but if you don’t find what you are looking for, please email admin@succeed11plus.co.uk for help.
